Many people have long wondered how the ancient Egyptians were able to align the Great Pyramid so perfectly. This has been a mystery for quite some time, with many people claiming the Egyptians got help from extraterrestrial visitors.
The architects of the Great Pyramid of Khufu positioned the monument to the the cardinal points. Even more, they did so with an accuracy of one-fifteenth of one degree.
Archaeologists think they may have finally figured out how the ancient Egyptians were able to do it.
Scientists now think that the Egyptians were able to align the pyramid by using a rod on a wooden platform and marking where the shadow was at assorted times across the day.
If they did this on the fall Equinox, the shadow they were marking would go almost perfectly east to west.
Or maybe it was the aliens.
